25th Infantry Division
25th Infantry Division Shortly after its inception in October 1941, the 25th Infantry Division was called to defend the shores of Hawaii after the attack on Pearl Harbor. From there, the Tropic Lightning troops were on the offensive throughout the Pacific penetrating Japanese strongholds. They helped occupy Japan after the war until called into Korea for three years, where they earned the Koren Presidential Unit Citation. From 1963, when the Division began providing men for the Vietnam conflict, until redeployment began on Dec.15, 1970, back home to Hawaii, the men of the 25th fought many bloody battles to break traditional Viet Cong lines of communications, supply and liason routes between the Mekong Delta and the North. In addition, division soldiers showed genuine compassion for the problems of the South Vietnamese through their civic action programs. For these efforts, the 25th Infantry Division was awared the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with palm on Jan. 28, 1969.

History of the 25th Infantry Division

The Manchu Web Site (4th Bn, 9th Inf., 25th Division) This site contains the "Manchu" history, information about some major actions the Manchus were involved in, photos, a memorial page, reunion information, a message board, chat room and e-mail addresses of Manchus.

No Quarter, The VietNam Casualty Search Page "No Quarter" allows you to search for Vietnam war casualties by last name, service, hometown and state. There is also an advanced search available that allows you to search by date range, province and several other fields. Some of the key data listed for each casualty are: full name, service number, rank, grade, MOS, age, home, casualty date, birth date, race and Vietnam memorial wall panel ID.

Vietnam Veterans Database The Veterans Database allows you to search for Vietnam veterans by first and last name. The full name, service, rank and MOS is displayed for each veteran located. The site does not claim to be 100% accurate, but I have been able to locate every vet that I've searched for so far.
